Susan O'Connor Medical Aesthetics treatment room

Meet Susan

Twenty years of experience. Zero interest in selling you what you don’t need.

I’m Susan O’Connor, a licensed medical aesthetician with more than 20 years of experience treating skin.

I’ve watched treatments, technologies and skincare trends come and go. What hasn’t changed is my approach: understand what’s actually happening with your skin first, then choose the treatment that makes sense.

Sometimes that means advanced technology. Sometimes it means a facial, better home care—or doing less.

My job isn’t to sell you more treatments.
It’s to help you make better decisions about your skin.

You Have Two
Ways to Begin.

You don't have to understand every treatment on the menu before booking.

Option 1

Book A Facial

I'd like to start with a facial.

You do not need a consultation before booking a facial—even if you have never visited the clinic before. Each facial begins with a brief conversation about your skin and is adjusted where appropriate based on what your skin needs that day.A facial is a good place to begin if you:

  • Want healthier, smoother or more hydrated skin

  • Need help with dryness, dullness, sensitivity or congestion

  • Want professional skin maintenance without significant downtime

  • Prefer to receive a treatment during your first visit

Not sure which facial to choose? Select the one that most closely matches what you want help with. Every facial can be reasonably adjusted at your appointment to accommodate your skin’s needs and any relevant contraindications.

Option 2

Book A Consultation

I'd like to start with an advanced treatment.

Advanced treatments begin with a complimentary 30-minute consultation. This appointment gives me an opportunity to assess your skin or treatment area, review relevant health information and determine which treatment options are safe and appropriate for you. This includes treatments such as IPL, radiofrequency and infrared skin tightening, microneedling, fractional resurfacing, corrective chemical peels, ThermoClear and laser hair removal. We’ll discuss:

  • What you would like to improve

  • Which treatment options may be appropriate

  • What results you can realistically expect

  • How many treatments you may need

  • Treatment cost, preparation, downtime and aftercare

  • Whether a patch test is required

The consultation does not include a full treatment. If a patch test is required, it may be completed during this appointment.

Still Not Sure?

If you’re unsure which path to choose, text me at

Skin Concern

Fine Lines & Wrinkles

Understand what's changing - and what can actually help.

Fine lines don't all develop for the same reason. The right approach depends on what's causing them, how established they are, and what else is happening in your skin.

Why fine lines & wrinkles develop

Collagen & Elastin

Gradually decline with age.

Facial Movement

Repeated expressions contribute to certain lines.

Sun + Skin Health

UV exposure, genetics, lifestyle, and overall skin health influence how quickly changes appear.

Because every person's skin is different, there isn't a single treatment that's right for everyone. A complimentary consultation is required before booking any advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for your individual needs.

Advanced Treatment Options

Microneedling

Ideal for early fine lines, improving skin quality, and stimulating collagen production.

Learn More →

Radio Frequency Skin Lifting

Recommended when fine lines are accompanied by loss of firmness and elasticity.

Learn More →

Infrared Skin Tightening

Most appropriate for early skin laxity of the lower face, jawline, and neck where improving skin tightness and facial definition is the primary goal.

Learn More →

Fractional Laser

Often recommended for more established wrinkles, textural changes, sun damage and acne scarring.

Learn More →

Chemical Peels

Can help improve texture, skin brightness, and the appearance of very early fine lines, while supporting skin health.

Learn More →

Supportive Facial Treatments

While facials cannot replace collagen-stimulating treatments (with the exception of the RF Lifting Facial), they can temporarily improve hydration, smoothness, and radiance, making fine lines appear less noticeable. They are also an excellent way to maintain healthy skin and help prolong the results of your advanced treatments.

Not sure what your skin needs?

You don't need to figure that out yourself.

During your complimentary consultation, I'll assess your skin, discuss your goals, and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for you.

Skin Concern

Rough, Dull & Tired Skin

Understand what's behind your skin's lack of radiance and rough texture - and what can actually help

If your skin feels rough, looks dull, or has lost its natural glow, it doesn't necessarily mean it's simply "dry" or that you need to exfoliate more. Many factors can contribute to skin that appears tired and lacks vitality. The good news is that with the right approach, we can restore smoothness, radiance, and a healthier-looking complexion.

Why rough, dull and tired skin develops

skin barrier + hydration

Poor barrier function and dehydration can leave the skin rough, tight and lacking radiance.

Cell turnover + buildup

Slower shedding and accumulated dead skin cells can make the surface feel uneven and look dull.

Aging + Environment

Age, UV exposure, lifestyle and other factors can affect collagen renewal and overall skin vitality.

Because every person's skin is different, there isn't a single treatment that's right for everyone. A complimentary consultation is required before booking any advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for your individual needs.

Supportive Facial Treatments

Facials are the perfect place to start. They help improve hydration, support a healthy skin barrier, and gently remove buildup so your skin can look and feel smoother, brighter, and more refreshed.

Advanced Treatment Options

If additional improvement is desired or your skin concerns are more significant, one or more of these advanced treatments may be recommended.

Microneedling

Ideal for refining overall texture, improving skin quality, and stimulating collagen production.

Learn More →

Chemical Peels

Can help improve texture, skin brightness, and the appearance of very early fine lines, while supporting skin health.

Learn More →

Fractional Laser

Recommended for more significant textural changes, sun damage, and advanced skin rejuvenation.

Learn More →

IPL Photofacial

Improves dullness, uneven tone, textural irregularities, and signs of sun damage while supporting overall skin rejuvenation.

Skin Concern

Redness & Rosacea

Calm inflammation. Strengthen your skin. Restore comfort and confidence.

Persistent redness, flushing, and sensitivity can be frustrating and hard to manage. The good news is that the right approach can help calm visible redness, strengthen your skin barrier and reduce flare-ups over time. Healthier, calmer, and more comfortable skin is possible.

Why redness and rosacea develop

vascular hyper-reactivity

Overactive blood vessels can cause flushing, visible redness, and a tendency for flare-ups.

Compromised Skin Barrier

A weakened skin barrier can make skin more sensitive, reactive, and prone to irritation and redness.

Triggers & Inflammation

Environmental factors, lifestyle triggers, heat, stress, and inflammation can worsen redness and rosacea symptoms.

Because every person's skin is different, there isn't a single treatment that's right for everyone. A complimentary consultation is required before booking any advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for your individual needs.

Supportive Facial Treatments

Professional facials focused on calming inflammation and supporting the skin barrier can help reduce sensitivity, improve hydration, and support overall skin comfort.

Advanced Treatment Options

Once inflammation is well controlled and the skin barrier is healthier, advanced treatments can help address persistent redness and visible vessels.

IPL Photofacial

Can reduce diffuse redness and certain visible superficial blood vessels in appropriate candidates.

Learn More →

VP Dual Spot Treatment

Ideal for treating individual broken capillaries and small vascular lesions.

Learn More →

Chemical Peels

Carefully selected professional peels can help, calm inflammation, support barrier function, and improve overall skin health.

Learn More →

ThermoClear

Best for precisely treating individual visible capillaries, particularly around the nose and cheeks, rather than widespread redness of flushing.

During your complimentary consultation, I'll assess your skin, discuss your goals, and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for you.

Skin Concern

Brown Spots & Sun Damage

Understand what's causing the discoloration - and what can actually help

Brown spots and uneven pigmentation don't all develop for the same reason. The right approach depends on what type of pigmentation you have, how deep it sits within the skin, and what is causing it.

Why brown spots and sun damage develop

UV Exposure

Cumulative sun exposure stimulates excess pigment production and can lead to sun spots and uneven tone.

Hormones & Inflammation

Hormonal changes, inflammation, and previous skin injury can trigger excess or irregular pigment production.

Skin Renewal & Aging

As skin renewal slows with age, accumulated pigment and visible sun damage can become more noticeable.

Because every person's skin is different, there isn't a single treatment that's right for everyone. A complimentary consultation is required before booking any advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for your individual needs.

Advanced Treatment Options

IPL Photofacial

Often the first choice for superficial sun spots and areas of irregular pigmentation caused by sun damage.

Learn More →

VP Dual Spot Treatment

Ideal for treating individual superficial sun spots.

Learn More →

Microneedling

Best suited for rejuvenating a weakened junction between the epidermis and dermis which can allow pigment into the dermis, as well as evening overall skin tone when combined with certain boosters.

Learn More →

ThermoClear

Best for treating individual sun spots and other small superficial pigmented spots that may not be suitable for IPL.

Learn More →

Fractional Laser

May be recommended for certain types of pigmentation issues.

Learn More →

Chemical Peels

Carefully selected professional peels can help improve uneven pigmentation, brighten the complexion, and promote a more even skin tone.

Learn More →

Supportive Facial Treatments

Facials will not remove established brown spots, but they can improve hydration, brightness, and overall skin health while helping maintain the results of more corrective treatments.

Not sure what your skin needs?

Skin Concern

Acne & Breakouts

Understand what's triggering your acne - and what can help clear it.

Acne is a complex, and at times inflammatory skin condition with many possible triggers. The right approach starts with understanding what your skin needs.

Why acne and breakouts develop

Congestion

Excess buildup of dead skin cells can trap oil and debris to clog pores and create the perfect environment for breakouts.

Bacteria & Inflammation

Bacteria, inflammation, and immune responses can worsen active acne lesions.

Hormones & Lifestyle

Hormonal fluctuations, stress, diet, medications, and genetics can all contribute to acne.

Because every person's skin is different, there isn't a single treatment that's right for everyone. A complimentary consultation is required before booking any advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for your individual needs.

Advanced Treatment Options

Chemical Peels

Carefully selected professional chemical peels can help reduce congestion and inflammation, improve active acne, and reduce post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Learn More →

Supportive Facial Treatments

For many clients the first step is reducing inflammation, improving skin health, and supporting a healthy skin barrier. Professional acne facials can help reduce congestion, improve skin function, and create a healthier environment for the skin to heal.

Not sure what your skin needs?

You don't need to figure that out yourself.

During your complimentary consultation, I'll assess your skin, discuss your goals, and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for you.

Skin Concern

Acne Scarring

Advanced treatments to improve texture, smooth scars, and restore confidence.

Acne scars develop when inflammation damages the skin's deeper layers. The right treatment depends on the type, depth, and severity of your scarring.

Why acne scars develop

Inflammation

Severe or prolonged acne inflammation can damage the skin's deeper layers.

Collagen Damage

Damage to collagen and elastin disrupts the skin's structure and healing process.

Irregular Healing

As the skin heals it can leave behind indentations, uneven texture, and raised scars.

Because every person's skin is different, there isn't a single treatment that's right for everyone. A complimentary consultation is required before booking any advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the treatment plan that's most appropriate for your individual needs.

Advanced Treatment Options

Microneedling

Often the first choice for mild to moderate acne scars by stimulating collagen remodelling and improving skin texture.

Learn More →

Fractional Laser

May be recommended for more established scars, significant textural changes, and overall skin resurfacing.

Learn More →

Chemical Peels

Can help improve superficial textural irregularities and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, especially when combined with other treatments.

Learn More →

Supportive Facial Treatments

While facials cannot remove acne scars, they can improve overall skin health, hydration, and texture while helping maintain the results of corrective treatments.

Not sure what your skin needs?

You don't need to figure that out yourself.

Skin Concern

Loose & Sagging Skin

Understand what’s changing -
and what can actually help.

Loss of firmness isn’t caused by just one thing. Changes in collagen, facial volume, connective tissues, and the structures beneath the skin all influence how the face changes over time.

Why does skin become loose and less firm

Collagen + Elastin

Production slows and existing structural proteins gradually break down with age.

Facial Support

Changes in facial fat, muscle and connective tissues reduce support beneath the skin.

Age + Lifestyle

Genetics, sun exposure, weight changes and aging influence how quickly laxity develops.

Skin laxity develops differently for everyone. The degree of change depends on your skin quality, age, facial structure, genetics and other factors. Professional treatments cannot replace lost facial volume or produce surgical results, but they can improve skin quality, stimulate collagen and help improve mild to moderate laxity. A complimentary consultation is required before booking advanced treatment so I can assess your skin and recommend the approach most appropriate for you.

Advanced Treatment Options

Radio Frequency Skin Lifting

Uses controlled radio frequency energy to stimulate collagen remodeling and improve skin firmness.

Learn More →

Microneedling

Stimulates the skin’s natural repair response to encourage collagen production and improve skin quality.

Learn More →

Infrared Skin Tightening

Targets the deeper tissues of the lower face, jawline and neck to improve firmness and facial definition.

Learn More →

Fractional Laser

Resurfaces the skin while stimulating collagen remodeling to improve skin quality, texture and firmness.

Learn More →

Supportive Facial Treatments

Facials cannot correct significant skin laxity, but they can support collagen production, improve hydration and skin quality, and help maintain results between advanced treatments. The RF Lifting Facial also incorporates radio frequency for additional firming support.

Smoother Skin. Less Shaving

Laser Hair Removal

Professional laser hair removal in Flin Flon for long-term reduction of unwanted hair, with treatments customized to your skin and hair.

How IPL Hair Removal Works

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses pulses of light energy to target the pigment in hair to reduce unwanted hair over time.

Pigment

IPL light is attracted to melanin within the hair.

Heat

The absorbed light converts to heat within the hair follicle.

Hair Reduction

The heat damages the cells responsible for new hair growth, gradually reducing regrowth.

IPL vs Laser

Although commonly referred to as laser hair removal, the technology used at Susan O'Connor Medical Aesthetics is advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). IPL has been used successfully for many years to provide safe, effective, long-term hair reduction in appropriate candidates.

Less Hair. Less Maintenance.

Long Term Reduction

Significantly reduce unwanted hair and the need for constant shaving.

Smoother Skin

Less shaving can also mean fewer razor bumps, irritation and ingrown hairs.

Quick + Convenient

Many areas can be treated relatively quickly with little to no downtime.

Is IPL Hair Removal Right For You?

Works best when

  • Darker Hair

  • Lighter Skin Tones

  • Course or Dense Hair

  • Hair that Requires Frequent Shaving

Doesn't work on

  • White Hair

  • Grey Hair

  • Blonde Hair

  • Very Light Red Hair

Skin tone, tanning, medications and other factors also affect treatment suitability. We'll assess these during your consultation.

What To Expect

A Series of Treatments

Only hairs in the active growth phase can be effectively treated, so multiple sessions are necessary.

Treatments Spaced Apart

Appointments are generally spaced according to the growth cycle of the treatment area.

Occasional Maintenance

Results are long-lasting, but hormonal changes, aging and newly active follicles can cause some hair to return over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does laser hair removal hurt?
Most clients describe the treatment as a quick snapping sensation similar to the flick of a small elastic band. The discomfort is brief and generally well tolerated.
How many treatments will I need?
Because only actively growing hairs respond to treatment, most clients require a series of treatments. Appointments are typically spaced according to the growth cycle of the treatment area, and the schedule is adjusted as your hair responds.
Why do I have to shave before my appointment?
Shaving removes hair above the skin while leaving the follicle intact so the IPL energy can target pigment within the hair beneath the surface. Waxing, plucking, threading and epilating remove the root and should be avoided between treatments.
Can all hair colours be treated?
No. IPL relies on pigment within the hair to absorb light energy. White, grey, blonde and very light red hairs generally contain too little pigment to be effectively treated.
Will my hair be gone forever?
IPL provides long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent hair removal. Many hairs are permanently reduced, while some may return over time or new follicles may become active because of hormonal changes or aging.
Can I wax or pluck between treatments?
No. Waxing, plucking, threading and epilating remove the hair root that IPL needs to target. If hair needs to be removed between appointments, shaving is recommended.
Is IPL hair removal safe?
When performed on an appropriate candidate using suitable settings, IPL hair removal has a strong safety record. Your skin and hair will be assessed before treatment, and a patch test may be performed when appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does radio frequency skin lifting hurt?
No. Most clients describe the treatment as a comfortable warming sensation. The treatment is generally very well tolerated.
How many treatments will I need?
Some clients notice a subtle improvement after a single treatment. However, because collagen remodeling is a gradual process, a series of 6–8 treatments performed 1–2 weeks apart is typically recommended for best results. Your treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals.
When will I see results?
Some clients notice that their skin feels firmer or appears slightly more lifted shortly after treatment. Longer-lasting improvement develops gradually as new collagen is produced and remodeled over the following weeks and months, with continued improvement throughout a treatment series.
Can radio frequency skin lifting be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Radio Frequency Skin Lifting can often be incorporated into a personalized treatment plan alongside other professional treatments. The most appropriate combination and timing will depend on your skin, treatment goals, and the other procedures being performed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does infrared skin tightening hurt?

Most clients find the treatment very comfortable. You'll experience a gradual warming sensation as the deeper layers of the skin are heated, but the treatment should not be painful.

How many treatments will I need?

Some clients notice a subtle improvement after a single treatment. However, because collagen remodeling is a gradual process, a series of 6–8 treatments, performed every 2–4 weeks, is typically recommended for the best results. Your personalized treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals.

When will I see results?

Many clients notice their skin feels firmer and appears slightly tighter immediately after treatment. However, this initial effect is temporary. The longer-lasting tightening and lifting occur as new collagen is stimulated and remodelled over the following 1–2 months, with improvements continuing throughout your treatment series.

Is Infrared Skin Tightening the same as Radio Frequency Skin Lifting?

Both treatments stimulate collagen production and improve skin firmness, but they use different types of energy and remodel collagen at different depths within the skin. Depending on your skin concerns and treatment goals, one treatment may be more appropriate than the other—or they may be combined as part of a personalized treatment plan. During your complimentary consultation, we'll recommend the approach that's best suited to your skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does IPL hurt?

Most clients describe IPL as a quick snapping sensation, similar to the flick of a small elastic band. Treatments are generally well tolerated and no numbing cream is typically required.

How many treatments will I need?

Some improvement may be seen after a single treatment, particularly for superficial pigmentation. However, because every skin concern is different, a series of 4–6 treatments, typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart, is generally recommended for the best results. Your personalized treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals.

Why do brown spots sometimes get darker after treatment?

This is a normal and expected response. IPL targets excess pigment within the skin, causing it to temporarily darken before it gradually flakes away over the following one to two weeks. This is a sign that the unwanted pigmentation is responding to treatment.

Why didn't my pigmentation respond to IPL?

Not all pigmentation is located at the same depth within the skin. IPL is highly effective for many superficial pigmented lesions, such as sun spots, age spots, and freckles. However, if the pigment extends deeper into the dermis, it can be much more difficult to treat with IPL alone. During your consultation, we'll assess the type and depth of your pigmentation to determine whether IPL is likely to provide the best results or whether another treatment approach may be more appropriate.

Can IPL treat melasma?

Yes—but it must be approached carefully. Melasma is a complex pigmentation disorder that can be triggered or worsened by heat and inflammation. For this reason, IPL isn't appropriate for every person with melasma, and treatment must be carefully planned using conservative settings and appropriate temperature control. During your consultation, we'll determine whether IPL is appropriate for your skin or whether another treatment approach is likely to provide a safer and more predictable outcome.

Is IPL the same as a laser?

No. IPL uses broad-spectrum light containing multiple wavelengths, while lasers use a single, highly specific wavelength of light. Both technologies have important roles in aesthetic medicine, but each is better suited to treating different skin concerns.

(function () { const faq = document.querySelector('.ipl-faq'); if (!faq) return; const items = faq.querySelectorAll('details'); items.forEach(function (item) { item.addEventListener('toggle', function () { if (!item.open) return; items.forEach(function (other) { if (other !== item) { other.removeAttribute('open'); } }); }); }); })();

May Not Be Suitable If...

You are pregnant, have a recent tan or significant sun exposure, use certain photosensitizing medications, have an active skin infection in the treatment area, have certain skin conditions, or have medical conditions that make light-based treatments unsuitable.

Your suitability will be assessed during your complimentary consultation.

What It Is

Microneedling is a collagen induction treatment that creates controlled micro-injuries within the skin while simultaneously infusing a carefully selected sterile cocktail of active ingredients tailored to your skin concerns. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response while delivering beneficial ingredients during treatment.

What It Can Improve

  • Fine lines

  • Established wrinkles

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Enlarged pores

  • Acne scars

  • Surgical scars

  • Dull, tired-looking skin

  • Overall skin quality and radiance

Best Suited For

Clients wanting to stimulate collagen production and improve overall skin quality with minimal downtime. An excellent choice for improving skin texture, reducing acne scarring, softening fine lines, and restoring a smoother, healthier, more refreshed-looking complexion.

What To Expect Afterwards

DowntimeMost clients experience redness similar to a mild to moderate sunburn for 24–48 hours. Mild swelling, tightness, dryness, or light flaking may occur during the healing process. Most people feel comfortable returning to normal daily activities the following day, although the skin may remain slightly pink for several days.AftercareFor the best results and to maintain treatment safety:

  • Keep your skin clean and well hydrated.

  • Avoid makeup for the first 24 hours.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, hot tubs, saunas, swimming pools, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day.

  • Avoid exfoliating acids, retinoids, and other potentially irritating skincare products until your skin has fully recovered.

  • Follow the personalized post-treatment instructions provided by your practitioner.

Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

Consultation Required

Yes - Complimentary 30-min consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Microneedling hurt?
A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to maximize comfort. Most clients describe the treatment as very tolerable, with only mild to moderate discomfort in more sensitive areas.
How many treatments will I need?
Some clients may notice improvement after a single treatment. However, because collagen remodeling is a gradual process, a series of 3–4 treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended for best results. Your treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals.
When will I see results?
Your skin may appear brighter and more refreshed within the first week, but collagen remodeling takes time. Improvements typically become more noticeable over the following 4–12 weeks and continue to develop with each treatment.
Can Microneedling be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Microneedling can be incorporated into a personalized treatment plan alongside other advanced treatments and professional skincare when appropriate. The best combination and treatment timing will depend on your skin, concerns, and goals.
Is Microneedling safe for all skin types?
Microneedling can be appropriate for a wide range of skin types because it does not rely on light or heat to target pigment. However, treatment settings, skin condition, medical history, and individual risk factors still need to be considered. Your skin will be assessed during your consultation to determine whether treatment is appropriate.

*Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

What It Is

Fractional Laser Resurfacing uses an Er:YAG fractional laser to create tiny, precisely controlled treatment zones within the skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and encourages new collagen production, helping improve texture, wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, and other visible signs of aging.Because only a fraction of the skin is treated at one time, it provides significant resurfacing while allowing the surrounding untreated skin to support the healing process.

What It Can Improve

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Uneven skin texture

  • Acne scars

  • Surgical scars

  • Enlarged pores

  • Rough skin

  • Sun-damaged skin

  • Certain cases of melasma*

  • Overall skin quality

*When appropriate. Melasma requires careful assessment and individualized treatment planning.

Best Suited For

Clients wanting more significant improvement in wrinkles, uneven texture, acne scarring, sun damage, and other visible signs of skin aging.Fractional Laser Resurfacing is particularly well suited to those seeking noticeable skin rejuvenation and long-term collagen remodeling and who are comfortable with several days of visible downtime.

What To Expect Afterwards

DowntimeImmediately after treatment, the skin typically appears red and swollen and may feel hot or similar to a sunburn.Over the following several days, the skin gradually becomes dry and rough and begins to naturally shed as new skin develops beneath. Downtime is typically 4–7 days, depending on treatment intensity and individual healing.Redness may persist beyond the initial healing period in some clients.AftercareFor the best results and to support proper healing:

  • For the first 24 hours, apply only cool compresses as directed. Do not apply skincare products, makeup, sunscreen, or other topical products.

  • After the first 24 hours — and once the heat has fully dissipated — use only the recommended healing balm or post-treatment products as directed.

  • Do not pick, scratch, scrub, or peel flaking skin.

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, hot tubs, saunas, swimming pools, and excessive heat until the skin has healed.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure during healing.

  • Begin broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher once the skin has healed sufficiently to tolerate sunscreen.

  • Follow the personalized post-treatment instructions provided by your practitioner.

Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

Consultation Required

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Fractional Laser Resurfacing hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to maximize comfort. Most clients tolerate the treatment well and describe the sensation as uncomfortable rather than painful.

How many treatments will I need?

Some clients achieve their desired results after a single treatment. However, depending on the condition being treated and your treatment goals, 1–4 treatments may be recommended. Your personalized treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.

When will I see results?

Most clients notice smoother, fresher-looking skin once the initial healing has completed. However, collagen remodeling continues beneath the surface, with improvements developing over the following 2–6 months as new collagen is produced.

Is Fractional Laser the same as Microneedling?

No. Both treatments stimulate collagen production and improve skin quality, but they work in different ways and each has its own advantages. Depending on your skin concerns, one treatment may be more appropriate than the other. During your consultation, we'll recommend the treatment that's best suited to your skin and goals.

Can Fractional Laser treat melasma?

In selected cases, yes. Fractional Laser may be used to improve certain types of melasma using low-energy treatment settings that generate less heat. Because melasma is a complex condition, careful assessment and treatment planning are essential. During your consultation, we'll determine whether Fractional Laser is an appropriate option or whether another treatment approach is likely to provide better results.

Fractional Laser Resurfacing may not be appropriate if you are pregnant, have an active skin infection or herpes simplex (cold sore) outbreak in the treatment area, have impaired wound healing, a history of abnormal scarring, or certain medical conditions that may interfere with healing.Certain medications, recent procedures, sun exposure, and other factors may also affect whether or when treatment can safely be performed.

Treatment Time

Yes

Consultation Required

*Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

What It Is

Chemical peels are professional skin treatments that use carefully selected acids and other active ingredients to encourage controlled exfoliation and skin renewal.Different peels work in different ways and at different depths, which means the treatment can be selected according to your individual skin concerns, skin type and goals rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

What It Can Improve

  • Dull, lacklustre skin

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Rough skin texture

  • Fine lines

  • Sun damage

  • Acne and breakouts

  • Congested skin

  • Post-inflammatory pigmentation

  • Certain types of pigmentation

  • Overall skin clarity and radiance

Best Suited For

Clients wanting to improve skin tone, texture, pigmentation, acne or early signs of ageing with a treatment that can be tailored to their individual skin.Because different chemical peels have different formulations, strengths and treatment goals, the peel used will be selected specifically for your skin rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

What To Expect Afterwards

DowntimeDowntime depends on the type and strength of peel performed. Some peels result in little to no visible peeling, while others may cause temporary redness, dryness, flaking or peeling for several days as the skin renews. You'll be advised what to expect based on the specific peel selected for your skin.AftercareFor the best results and to maintain treatment safety:

  • Follow the post-treatment skincare recommendations provided to you.

  • Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day.

  • Avoid unnecessary direct sun exposure.

  • Do not pick, peel or scrub flaking skin.

  • Avoid exfoliating acids, retinoids and other potentially irritating skincare until your skin has recovered.

  • Follow any peel-specific aftercare instructions provided following your treatment.

Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

Consultation Required

Yes - Complimentary 30-min consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my skin peel?
Not necessarily. Despite the name, not every chemical peel causes visible peeling. Some peels create very little visible exfoliation, while others are designed to produce more noticeable flaking or peeling. What you experience depends on the peel selected, its strength, and how your individual skin responds.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on what we're treating and the peel being used. Some clients may benefit from an individual treatment, while others achieve better results with a series. When treating concerns such as pigmentation, acne, or uneven texture, a series of approximately 3–6 treatments may be recommended. Your treatment plan and frequency will be determined according to your skin and goals.
Are chemical peels safe?
When appropriately selected and performed by a trained professional, chemical peels can be a safe and effective treatment for many common skin concerns. The important part is choosing the right peel for the right skin. Your skin condition, medical history, medications, and treatment goals are assessed before deciding which peel—or whether a peel at all—is appropriate.
Can chemical peels be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Chemical peels can often be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside other professional treatments and appropriate home skincare. In some cases, a peel may also be combined with another treatment during the same appointment. Whether treatments should be combined or performed separately depends on the peel, your skin, and the other treatment being performed.

May Not Be Suitable If...

Chemical peels may not be appropriate if you are pregnant (depending on the peel), have an active skin infection or open lesion in the treatment area, are taking or have recently taken certain medications, have an allergy or sensitivity to ingredients within the selected peel, have significantly compromised or irritated skin, or have certain medical or skin conditions that may affect healing.Because contraindications vary between peel formulations, suitability is assessed based on the specific peel being considered, rather than chemical peels as a whole.

Your suitability will be assessed during your complimentary consultation.

*Treatment time and recommended treatments vary depending on the number, size and type of lesions being treated.

What It Is

VP Dual is a precision light-based treatment designed to target individual vascular and pigmented lesions while minimizing treatment to the surrounding skin.Using carefully selected wavelengths of light, it treats specific concerns such as broken capillaries, cherry angiomas, spider naevi, sun spots, age spots and other benign vascular and pigmented lesions.

What It Can Improve

  • Broken capillaries

  • Cherry angiomas (red spots)

  • Spider naevi

  • Sun spots

  • Age spots

  • Freckles

  • Certain benign pigmented lesions

  • Many other benign superficial vascular and pigmented skin imperfections

Best Suited For

Clients who want to remove or reduce individual vascular or pigmented lesions with a precise, targeted treatment and minimal downtime.

What To Expect Afterwards

DowntimeMost clients experience little downtime. Depending on the type of lesion treated, the area may appear pink or slightly swollen immediately afterwards.Pigmented lesions often darken before gradually flaking away, while some vascular lesions may fade immediately and others continue to improve over the following several weeks.AftercareFor the best results and to maintain treatment safety:

  • Keep the treated area clean and protected while it heals.

  • Avoid picking or scratching any crusts that form.

  • Protect the area from sun exposure by using sunscreen and avoiding unnecessary UV exposure until healing is complete.

  • Your practitioner will provide detailed aftercare instructions based on the type of lesion treated.

Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

Consultation Required

Yes - Complimentary 30-min consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does VP Dual hurt?

Most clients describe the treatment as a brief snapping or stinging sensation that lasts only a fraction of a second with each pulse. Treatments are generally well tolerated and no numbing cream is typically required.

Will the spots disappear immediately?

That depends on the type of lesion being treated. Some vascular lesions may disappear immediately, while others gradually fade over several weeks as your body naturally clears the treated blood vessels.

Pigmented lesions often darken first before gradually flaking away or fading during the healing process.

Will the treated area blister or scab?

Some lesions may temporarily darken, swell slightly, or develop a small crust or scab as part of the normal healing process. This is an expected response and usually resolves as the skin heals.

It's important to allow the area to heal naturally and avoid picking or scratching the treated skin.

How many treatments will I need?

Many lesions respond well after a single treatment. However, depending on the type, size, colour, depth and location of the lesion, two or more treatments may sometimes be recommended to achieve the best possible result.

Your personalized treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.

Can every spot be treated?

No. VP Dual is intended for the treatment of selected benign vascular and pigmented lesions. Some lesions are not appropriate for cosmetic treatment and should first be assessed by your physician or dermatologist.

During your consultation, we'll determine whether VP Dual is an appropriate treatment for your specific concern.

Is VP Dual the same as IPL?

No. While both treatments use light energy, they are designed for different purposes.

IPL Photofacial treats larger areas of skin and is ideal for concerns such as widespread sun damage, redness and uneven skin tone. VP Dual is a precision treatment designed to target individual vascular and pigmented lesions while minimizing treatment to the surrounding skin.

Because the two treatments complement one another, IPL Photofacial and VP Dual may sometimes be performed during the same appointment. For example, IPL may be used to improve overall skin tone and diffuse redness, while VP Dual precisely targets individual spots requiring additional treatment.

During your consultation, we'll determine which treatment—or combination of treatments—is most appropriate for your skin concerns.

What To Expect Afterwards

DowntimeMost clients experience mild redness immediately after treatment. A small, dry crust or scab usually forms over each treated area as part of the normal healing process and typically falls away naturally within 5–14 days, depending on the area treated and your individual healing response.Healing continues beneath the surface even after the crust has resolved.AftercareFor the best results and to maintain treatment safety:

  • Keep the treated area clean and dry.

  • Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day.

  • Follow the personalized aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.

Maintenance recommendations vary depending on your age, skin condition, and long-term goals.

Consultation Required

Yes - Complimentary 30-min consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does ThermoClear remove the lesion immediately?

Many superficial skin imperfections can be successfully treated in a single session. However, the treated tissue does not necessarily disappear immediately. A small crust or scab typically forms as the area heals and naturally falls away over the following 5–14 days.

Larger, deeper, or more persistent lesions may require additional treatment. What you can realistically expect will be discussed during your consultation.

Will the treated area scab?

Yes. A small, dry crust or scab typically forms over each treated area as part of the normal healing process. This usually falls away naturally within 5–14 days, depending on the area treated and your individual healing response.

It is important not to pick or remove the crust prematurely.

Will it leave a scar?

When appropriate lesions are treated and aftercare instructions are followed, scarring is uncommon. However, as with any treatment that intentionally creates a controlled injury to the skin, there is a small risk of scarring or temporary changes in skin colour.

Following your aftercare instructions helps minimize these risks.

How many treatments will I need?

Many lesions can be successfully treated in a single session. However, some lesions may require two or more treatments depending on their size, depth, location, and how your skin responds to treatment.

Your personalized treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.

Can every skin lesion be treated with ThermoClear?

No. ThermoClear is intended for the treatment of selected benign superficial skin imperfections.

Some lesions are not appropriate for cosmetic treatment and should first be assessed by your physician or dermatologist. During your consultation, we will determine whether ThermoClear is an appropriate option for your specific concern.

Is ThermoClear the same as laser?

No. ThermoClear does not use laser energy.

Instead, it uses a very fine probe and a controlled high-frequency current to precisely treat selected superficial skin imperfections. Because it works differently than a laser, it is particularly well suited to treating many small, isolated lesions that may be difficult to address with other technologies.

May Not Be Suitable If...

A suspicious or undiagnosed skin lesion
An active skin infection in the treatment area
Certain medical conditions that may affect healing
Any condition that makes cosmetic treatment inappropriate
Some lesions should be assessed by your physician or dermatologist before cosmetic treatment.

Your suitability will be assessed during your complimentary consultation.

The Facial Treatments

Everyday Skin Health

Essential Facial45 minutes | $120

A straightforward professional facial designed to thoroughly cleanse, gently refresh and support healthy-looking skin without adding corrective technologies your skin may not need. Gentle enzyme resurfacing lifts away surface buildup, while facial massage, a hydrating treatment mask and barrier-supportive finishing products leave the complexion feeling soft, comfortable and balanced.

This is an excellent introduction to professional skincare and a reliable choice for routine maintenance when your goal is simply to keep your skin clean, hydrated and refreshed.

Best For
First-time facial clients · Simple routine skin maintenance · Professional cleanse and refresh · Traditional facial experience · Clients not currently seeking a highly corrective treatment
Book the Essential Facial
Skin Health Facial60 minutes | $155

The recommended facial for ongoing skin maintenance, the Skin Health Facial goes beyond a basic cleanse without becoming an intensive corrective procedure. Gentle resurfacing refreshes dull surface buildup, while an oxygenating treatment and professional masks are selected according to how your skin is presenting that day. Massage and barrier-supportive hydration complete the treatment.

The goal is not to force the skin through the same protocol at every visit. It is to maintain smoothness, hydration, radiance and healthy-looking skin function by giving your skin the level of support it needs at the time of your appointment.

Best For
Monthly or seasonal maintenance · Dehydration, dullness or mild congestion · Maintaining skin quality between advanced treatments · Skin that changes with weather, hormones or lifestyle · Clients wanting a facial adjusted to their current skin condition
Book the Skin Health Facial
Barrier Recovery Facial60 minutes | $155

The Barrier Recovery Facial is designed for skin whose protective barrier has been disrupted by overexfoliation, harsh products, environmental exposure, seasonal dryness or recent irritation. Instead of relying on resurfacing, it combines a gentle oxygenating treatment with a non-invasive infusion of carefully selected calming actives. A soothing treatment mask and controlled cooling help settle the appearance of redness, heat and discomfort.

Barrier-supportive finishing products complete the treatment, helping replenish moisture and relieve the tight, stripped feeling common to compromised skin. The goal is not aggressive correction. It is to help the skin feel calmer, more comfortable and better supported while its barrier recovers.

Best For
Reactive, sensitized or easily irritated skin · Compromised or over-exfoliated skin barrier · Dry, tight or uncomfortable skin · Visible redness associated with irritation or barrier disruption · Skin needing gentle support between more intensive treatments
Book the Barrier Recovery Facial
Acne Control Facial75 minutes | $195

The Acne Control Facial is a comprehensive professional treatment for oily, congested and breakout-prone skin. Deep cleansing and targeted exfoliation help loosen compacted surface buildup before careful professional extractions are performed where appropriate. Oxygenating and acne-focused treatment steps then help reduce visible oiliness, calm the look of active inflammation and support a clearer, more balanced complexion.

Because acne-prone skin is not all the same, the intensity of exfoliation, extent of extractions and finishing products are adjusted to your skin on the day of treatment. The aim is effective clearing without unnecessarily stripping or aggravating the skin barrier.

Best For
Blackheads, clogged pores and visible congestion · Oily or breakout-prone skin · Persistent non-cystic breakouts · Inflamed blemishes that can safely be treated · Clients wanting professional extractions with targeted acne support

Results Focused Facials

Glass Skin Facial75 minutes | $195

The Glass Skin Facial is designed for skin that looks dull, dehydrated, rough or simply short on radiance. A form of professional resurfacing is selected according to your skin, then paired with an oxygenating treatment and non-invasive delivery of concentrated hydrating ingredients. A cooling, moisture-locking mask helps calm and condition the skin at the end of the treatment.

This carefully layered approach improves the way the surface reflects light while replenishing hydration, leaving the complexion visibly smoother, plumper and more luminous. It is especially useful when you want an immediate polished glow without significant downtime.

Best For
Dull or tired-looking skin · Dehydration · Rough or uneven surface texture · Skin that needs an immediate pre-event boost · Anyone wanting smoother, plumper and more luminous-looking skin
Book the Glass Skin Facial
Line Smoothing Peptide Facial90 minutes | $235

This intensive facial is designed for early fine lines, dehydration and the first visible signs of lost firmness. Customized professional resurfacing and an oxygenating treatment prepare the skin for a precision infusion of carefully selected peptide-based actives. Additional firming and hydrating ingredients are then layered into the skin before a soothing mask and cooling finish.

The infusion technique is gentle, typically very comfortable and involves minimal downtime. The treatment is designed to create a visibly smoother, plumper and more refreshed appearance. It is a stronger facial-level option for early age-related changes, but it does not replace more intensive collagen remodelling treatments when lines and textural changes are more established.

Best For
Early fine lines · Dehydrated or crepey-looking skin · Early loss of firmness · Clients wanting visible rejuvenation with minimal downtime · Maintaining skin quality between more intensive treatments
Book the Line Smoothing Peptide Facial
RF Lifting Facial105 minutes | $275

The RF Lifting Facial combines radio frequency skin lifting with a complete facial treatment for clients who want both firmer-looking contours and refreshed surface skin. Controlled radio frequency energy gently warms the deeper tissues to support collagen remodeling. The treatment is then complemented by oxygenating, peptide and hydration-focused steps chosen to condition the skin and enhance its immediate appearance.

The result is skin that looks smoother, firmer and more refreshed without needles or significant downtime. A single treatment can provide a temporary refreshed and tightened appearance; a series and ongoing maintenance are generally recommended when the goal is more meaningful improvement in laxity.

Best For
Mild to moderate skin laxity · Early loss of firmness · Tired-looking or less-defined facial contours · Clients wanting a non-invasive firming treatment · Ongoing maintenance of skin firmness and quality
